For the first time Volkswagen rear LED lights are present in their models Golf R, Golf GTI and GTD as the option is worth extra 350 euro. As you can probably see in the pictures, each rear light has two specific curves. Each curve consists of 11 LEDs and two distinctive centrally located LED dots.

This means that the new rear lights come with 48 LEDs in total which definitely makes the rear of Golf quite distinctive – especially in the dark. Volkswagen assure us that the response time of the beam itself is 0.2 seconds faster than with traditional luminaries. This means that at a speed of 100 km/h this is the equivalent of 5.6 meters braking distance.

And it is not everything as the German car maker also implement bi-xenon headlamps to maximize the safety and comfort. New headlights featured lighting in turns depending on the angle of the steering wheel. The front lights are available in standard Golf R but in all other variants of the Golf will cost an additional 1 295 euro.
