The Volkswagen Jetta has been totally redesigned with the hopes of improving US sales. The Jetta is now roomier inside, but some of what made the previous generation special seems to be lost.
VW Jetta R is coming too
Volkswagen will expand the sport versions labeled as “R” by Jetta R.
In the presentation last week in Munich of the sixth generation Jetta, VW has shown a prototype with a V6 petrol engine 3.6 liters but it wasn’t revealed how much power it has.
The engine combines with DSG transmission and 4Motion. Division of VW for sports and “hot” R cars were detached at the beginning of this year in a separate unit within the company along the lines of division “M” at BMW.
Now there want to continue a series of R once submitted Golf R and Scirocco R. According to the sources of division “R”, now there are working only on Jetta R, also on the long-awaited Polo R. The emergence of Polo R becomes possible after the Audi said it will modernize the platform of A1, which will be used by “hot” Polo with 4×4. The previous platform was not adjusted for 4×4 vehicles.
Boss of VW development, Ulrich Hackenberg says Jetta R series will be produced if such is the desire of buyers. Given the high demand for sports sedans with V6 engines in the U.S., the emergence of serial Jetta R is almost certainly more that the platform of the car is suited for transmission of movement to all four wheels.

When experts first saw the concept Volkswagen New Compact Coupe (NCC) at the exhibition in Detroit earlier this month they suggested that this will be the basis of the future generation of Jetta.
Design seemed quite finished and near mass production they just had to insert two back doors to get a better idea of how the new Jetta might look.
That is what a Brazilian from the site “Irmaododecio” made using a computer to visualize the future sedan VW Jetta, model 2011.
The car is expected to appear on some of the automotive dealerships in the second half of this year and it will be on the market in 2011.
