At the Seventh International Motor Show in Guangzhou, China, opened yesterday, Volkswagen introduced a new version of the SUV model Tiguan.
The car was set up jointly with the Chinese partner of VW by Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp (SAIC).
So far this new version of the Tiguan is intended for the market in China. Compared with the version of the Tiguan sold in Europe and the U.S., the Chinese version has a new grille and new front bumper.
The interior has also changed, although not as significant. A new steering wheel with three arms, and the instrument panel has a new design.
VW has not yet specified whether these changes are specific to the Chinese version of the model or will be applied and the modernization of the models offered in other markets.
