Tuning company B&B developed some engine upgrade kits for 2012 Volkswagen Beetle.

On top of the range, 2.0 TFSI engine in the standard specification produces 200hp (149kW/203hp and 280Nm (207ft), has increased capacity in five stages:
236hp (240hp/177 kW) and 251Nm (340Nm) torque
247hp (250PS/184 kW)
261hp (265PS/195 kW)
191hp (295hp/217 kW)
316hp (320PS/235 kW) and 310Nm (420Nm) torque

For stage 5, which includes B&B turbocharger, air cooler and a full sports exhaust including downpipe and sports catalytic converter, the result is a 0-62 mph time of 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Price from €8,950.
For Beetle 1.4 TSI with 158hp (118kW/160PS), stage 1 ECU upgrade costs €998 and takes power to 207hp (154kW/210hp) and 136Nm (285Nm) of torque. Stage 2, which costs €1,498 goes a little higher to 221hp (165kW/225hp) and 228Nm (310Nm). Stage 3 is slightly more extensive with modified turbo, new air intake and sport exhaust, all contributing to redcued heat load, improving reliability. Output increased to 237hp (176kW/240hp) and 251Nm (340Nm). Stage 3 kit worth €5,950.

Other enhancements include high-performance brake system for €3,795 and 19- or 20-inch wheels.

Volkswagen has unveiled the Cross Coupe concept at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The car is based on the European version of the Passat, it’s named Alltrack and features increased ground clearance and a number of elements that suggest an increased off-road capability.

VW Passat Alltrack will offer a choice of four engines – two petrol and two diesel. Gasoline will be 1.8 TSI with 160 hp and the 2.0 TSI with 210 hp. Diesel versions will rely on engine 2.0 TDI, which will offer two switch-varieties – 140 and 170 hp

More powerful versions (2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI – 170 hp) will be equipped with a standard system for the four-wheel drive and 4Motion dual-clutch transmission DSG. For the other two versions, the systems will be an option.

Germans reported only average fuel consumption of diesel versions with 4Motion. Weaker diesel will require an average of 5.7 l./100 km and stronger – 5.8 l./100 km.

Sport & Style package includes special 17-inch wheels on the exterior and rich interior equipment – navigation system, dressed in a combination of leather and Alcantara interior, front seats with electric adjustment and heating, parking assistant, aluminum items, leather steering wheel with distinctive stitching and other. The package in Germany is €2,250.

Black Style Premium equipment costing €1,195 offers a number of exterior features in a sleek black two-tone 17-inch wheels, sport suspension, tinted rear windows and shiny black elements in the interior.

Sport & Style and Black Style Premium are available for all engines of VW Eos.

VW showed a facelift version of the car before it is formally introduced in Los Angeles.

After earlier in the year Volkswagen presenting the new generation Passat, came the version of the four-door coupe. The first pictures of modernized model appeared on the Internet, the premiere itself will take place at the auto show in Los Angeles this month.

The car features an updated front and rear, inspired by the design of the new Passat sedan. Tail lights are new as well as front bi-xenon headlights with LED technology, already available as standard equipment. It includes new exhaust system with two tailpipes, 17-inch wheels, a system for cleaning headlights and more.

In the present equipment of the car are also tracking system for driver fatigue, starting assistant, limited slip differential, automatic lights, parking assistant system for dynamic chassis control and others.

There is still no official information about powertrain of the car but we expect in the Passat CC 2012 can be put petrol engines with direct fuel injection 2.0 TSI and 3.6 FSI while diesel engines probably won’t change as the economy will be 2.0-liter TDI with 140 hp, which average fuel consumption will be within 4.7 l/100km.

Sales of the Passat CC 2012 will launch first in Germany where the car will be available from February 2012. Several months later the car will enter the markets in other European countries, America, Russia and China.

The design is based on a lightweight but very strong aluminum frame and has Gullwing doors and moved out of the body wheels. This is definitely ensuring very pleasant emotions while driving. Apart from the compact size of Nils, by VW promised that the prototype meets all the necessary security requirements applying to modern cars. Wolfsburg now have acquired considerable experience from previous prototypes 1-Liter and L1.

Nils is an electric car. It has an electric motor that weighs only 18 kg. Power is 20 hp albeit for short times can reach up to 33 hp. The battery has a capacity of 5.3 kWh as it requires only 2 hours to recharge.

The motor, battery and all other components are so compact that there is still room for a small rack. And since the main area that the car will dwell are the cities the maximum distance per charge is 65 km. Top speed is electronically limited even at 130 km/h. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes approximately 11 seconds.

Inspired by the Meyers Manx, retro roadster design has no doors and seats only for two. Compared with the standard model, Buggy is slightly longer and wider, but significantly lower. There’s a new hood, unique headlights, special rear trunk and 18-inch alloy wheels.

As for the interior, it is quite fresh and is designed to withstand water.
