With eT! Concept Volkswagen unveils its vision for the 21st century bus. The vehicle is designed with “Deutsche Post” and design center in Braunschweig.

eT! EV is designed to facilitate the work of couriers. Its construction was part of a project designed to give an idea – Are vehicles powered by electricity cost effective and subtle for freight.

Electric motors are mesh directly to each wheel. They are located so as not to lose the space in the cabin and cargo compartment. The large, sliding door on the right allows access to the baggage as part of the van and travel to the sector and the driver’s seat. To the right of the driver is displayed joystick, which allows the passenger if necessary to facilitate the management to take the car.

To comply with the bus needs of potential users, mainly couriers, its creators have turned it into “puppy”. With commands like “follow me” or “come here” eT! can follow their leader from house to house or at an address.

Volkswagen didn’t stop with prototypes in Frankfurt, having revealed the interesting model NILS.

The design is based on a lightweight but very strong aluminum frame and has Gullwing doors and moved out of the body wheels. This is definitely ensuring very pleasant emotions while driving. Apart from the compact size of Nils, by VW promised that the prototype meets all the necessary security requirements applying to modern cars. Wolfsburg now have acquired considerable experience from previous prototypes 1-Liter and L1.

Nils is an electric car. It has an electric motor that weighs only 18 kg. Power is 20 hp albeit for short times can reach up to 33 hp. The battery has a capacity of 5.3 kWh as it requires only 2 hours to recharge.

The motor, battery and all other components are so compact that there is still room for a small rack. And since the main area that the car will dwell are the cities the maximum distance per charge is 65 km. Top speed is electronically limited even at 130 km/h. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes approximately 11 seconds.

Geneva Volkswagen presented a very interesting compact van with the name Bulli in Geneva. In practice, this car is the ideological successor of the legendary VW T1. More interesting, however, are its dimensions. Although the length is less than four meters (3990 mm), six people can travel in it comfortably enough.

The driver and passengers are divided into two rows of 3+3 scheme and the engine is electric. With one charging Bulli can cover a distance of 300 kilometers.

The motor has an output of 116 hp and maximum torque – 270 Nm. It feeds from innovative lithium-ion batteries, which charge may be made in less than one hour. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 11.5 seconds and top speed is limited to 140 km/h.

The salon offers interesting opportunities for transformation. Seats turn into a kind of bedroom very easily. When folded luggage volume is 1600 liters. All electronics on board are managed by the tablet iPad, its sound system is a work of the legendary guitar manufacturers Fender.

This is a super efficient car with average fuel consumption of 0.9 liters per 100 km and CO2 emissions of 24 g/km.

According to representatives of Volkswagen this new model demonstrates that it is perfectly possible to run a serial model with a fuel consumption of about 1 liter to be for daily use and this can be done today, not in indeterminately future.

Volkswagen XL1 has an extremely low own weight – 795 lbs. This is obtained through the use of carbon fiber and fiber glass. The car has an exceptional coefficient of aerodynamics – 0.186. The car is a hybrid consisting of two-cylinder diesel engine with 48hp and electric power engine with 27hp. The transmission is automatic with seven gears and two clutches.

Batteries are lithium-ion. According to the manufacturer’s data with only electric power the car can travel 35 km. Acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h takes 11.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed is 160 mph. Charging the battery can be done in the standard grid.

Representatives of Volkswagen stated that the development costs of XL1 are significantly reduced and their view is approaching the time when such super-efficient cars will become viable for mass production. Body panels of the XL1 are reinforced by carbon fibers and VW have patented this new technology. Such technology is the creation of F1 car bodies.

Now presented in Qatar LX1 is the third car series of super effective. First appeared in 2002 and was a diesel engine and a cylinder volume of 0.3 liters and power 8.5 hp. Its average cost was 0.89 liters per 100 km. Then, in 2009 showed L1, which was a two-cylinder diesel with a volume of 0.8 liters and its fuel consumption was 1.49 liters per 100 km.

Now the design of XL1 e much better than that of L1, such as driver and passenger side by side, not one behind another, as in L1. The car has a length of 3970 mm and a width of 1682 mm (dimensions similar to those of Polo). The height is 1184 mm (similar to the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder).
