Volkswagen has big popularity in Europe. Recently, the group is getting stronger outside Europe as well. Thanks to strong sales in Asia in 2010, VW became the most profitable car company in the world last year, ahead of Ford and realized net income of 6.82 billion euros in 2010. The result exceeded all forecasts of analysts, the future seems to be even better because of the impending takeover of the Porsche Group in VW.

Studio Italdesign Giugiaro prepared two concept cars branded VW, which will show in Geneva.
According to the Spanish site Autoblog, prototypes of a compact hatchback and coupe have been created with the brand of Volkswagen, which took control over the studio in the spring of last year.
Volkswagen officially unveiled the cabriolet version of the hatchback Golf.
It has a soft folding top, which closes in 9.5 seconds, and this can be done while driving at 30 mph.

Volkswagen posted new information about updated crossover Tiguan – it will be presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in early March.
Volkswagen announced that this year will participate in the race the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
The company has created a special car for the competition, called Golf24.
