Across the internet appeared (unofficial) pictures of the new sedan, Volkswagen Jetta.
The main difference with the previous model is the platform for which new generation is no longer a hatchback Golf. Thus, Jetta has a separate model, not derived from the Golf, as it was always present. The new Jetta is a fully rebuilt.

The result is not bad at all – stylish design, better proportions, 90 mm more length. The front of the car has more attractive appearance, the side profile has taken something from NCC hybrid coupe concept shown in Detroit in January.
The longer wheelbase provides a high comfort and more volume. It has increased legroom for rear seat passengers. Originally Volkswagen Jetta will be sold with five engines – three petrol and two diesel.

Petrol 1.2 TSI from 104 hp power, 1.4 TSI with 121 hp and the top two-liter TSI will power 200 hp. Diesel versions are 1.6 TDI 104 hp power and two-liter TDI with 138 hp power.
Most engines will be combined with gearbox and dual-clutch DSG. BlueMotion versions 1.2 and a volume of 1.6 liters will be equipped with stop-start system and regeneration of energy used by the brakes. BlueMotion petrol will cost an average of about 5.5 liters per 100 km and emissions of 124 g/km and diesel about 3.6 liters per 100 km and emissions of 109 g/km.
Prices of the new Jetta will start in Europe of around € 21,000 and will be available in early 2011.
