On the official site of Volkswagen was published the first teaser picture of the new generation Sharan.
From what is visible it can be assumed that the compact van has been designed in the style of the new corporate models. Headlights and radiator grille in the style of the Golf VI.

The world premiere of the new Sharan will be in Geneva on 2 March. According to the preliminary and unofficial information the new generation of Sharan will be powered by an electric motor and a new range of petrol engines.
It has increased the volume of the trunk with rear seats folded – 2800 liters which is more by 475 liters than the current generation.
Current generation of the VW Sharan is on the market since 2004. It is offered with petrol engines with a volume 1.8, 2.0 and 2.8 liters, none of which has a system for direct fuel injection. Diesel engines are also available today in old Sharan (pump-nozzle without Common Rail).
The new generation will be with the new petrol engines with volumes 1.8 and 2.0 liters with power accordingly 160 and 210 hp and the new turbo-diesel units with the system common rail. The new Sharan will be given a form with the engine family BlueMotion as well as modifications working with gas. There will be a 4×4 version too.
New Sharan sales in Europe will begin immediately after the premiere of the car in Geneva.
